From Couch to Course: My Off-Season Workout Journey

I started today! After years without exercise, I did my first at-home HIIT. My goal: lose weight, get stronger, and reach 72 kg (158 lbs) by summer. Small steps, big changes—one workout at a time.

I started today. After 2–3 years of barely working out, I realized I can’t wait any longer—38 pounds heavier and running low on energy, it’s time to take my everyday health seriously. I’m an amateur golfer, but this isn’t about golf or competition; it’s about feeling stronger, moving better, and living with more energy. Today is my starting point, and I’m committed to taking this one step at a time.

I kicked things off with a simple at-home HIIT workout—no gym, no equipment, just me and a plan. The video was 9 minutes long and included exercises like squats, vertical jump squats, and jumping jacks, but I only managed to make it halfway through. It was tougher than I expected, and my body definitely reminded me how long it’s been since I moved like this. Still, getting through half was enough to leave me sweaty, challenged, and proud that I started. Today proved that progress doesn’t require perfection—it requires showing up.

Even after that first session, I feel a small but real difference—more awake, less stiff, and mentally stronger for having pushed myself. I’m hoping to see noticeable results in 2–4 weeks, with a goal of reaching 72 kg (158 lbs) by the time summer starts. Starting today is enough to build momentum toward a healthier, stronger, and more active life—one workout at a time.

From Comfort Zone to Commitment: Kicking Off My Fitness Journey

This is the video that kickstarted my workout journey. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and reminded me how important it is to start, even when it’s hard. My goal is to complete the entire video and stay consistent for the next 2–3 weeks until I feel ready to level up. Every small step counts, and building this habit is the first milestone toward a stronger, healthier me.
