My Golf Goals and Thoughts
As the new golf season approaches, I’m motivated to play with more intention and patience. My focus is on working on my putting and short game, while improving my mindset — staying calm, bouncing back from bad breaks, and enjoying the process of steady improvement.
As I look ahead at coming golf season, I feel more motivated than ever to approach my golf game with intention and patience. Golf has always been a mix of challenge and enjoyment for me, but this year I want to be more deliberate about how I improve and what I focus on when I practice.
One of my main goals for 2026 is working on my putting and short game. It’s easy to get caught up in chasing extra distance off the tee or a prettier swing, but I’ve learned that real scores are made around the greens. Putting, chipping, and pitching are where confidence is built — and where rounds can quietly fall apart if neglected. I want to turn these areas into strengths instead of liabilities.
My plan is to spend more time on the practice green, focusing on distance control, reading putts better, and developing a repeatable pre-putt routine. For my short game, I want to become more creative and comfortable, whether it’s a simple bump-and-run or a delicate shot over a bunker. Less panic, more options.
Beyond the technical side, 2026 is also about mindset. I want to play smarter, accept bad shots faster, and enjoy the process of improvement rather than obsess over every score. Golf is a long journey, and progress doesn’t always show up on the scorecard right away.
If I can stay consistent, patient, and committed to working on my putting and short game, I believe 2026 can be a meaningful year for my golf. Not perfect — but purposeful, and that’s exactly what I’m aiming for.
