What started as a gap check turned into a coaching session

What started as a simple gap check with my Orka RS10 CB irons quickly turned into a coaching session. The irons impressed with tight dispersion, consistent 12-meter gapping, and forgiving off-center hits—before long, the focus naturally shifted from the clubs to improving my swing.

First Impressions with the Orka RS10 CB Irons

This was my second session hitting the new Orka RS10 CBs, and once again they left a strong impression.

What really stood out was the front-to-back dispersion. The irons are incredibly consistent, and even on off-center strikes they’re surprisingly forgiving. Heel and toe shots didn’t lose much distance at all, which is always reassuring when you’re not striking it perfectly. The consistency I noticed during my first session showed up again—especially in how clean and predictable the distance gaps were between clubs.

Speaking of gapping, everything was spot on. There was no need to adjust lofts on any of the irons, which says a lot about the quality of the build. The only tweak we made was to the lie angles—and that was purely because my brain works a little differently. We bent the 8-iron through pitching wedge an extra degree flat, so those are now 2° flat, while the 5-7 irons sit at 1° flat.

From Fitting to Coaching

At some point, the session naturally turned into a coaching session. My club builder knows my swing well—and more importantly, my swing flaws. I tend to have a shallow angle of attack, mainly due to issues with weight shift. Having someone who understands both the equipment and my swing made a big difference, and it was great to get feedback while seeing real data to back it up.

TrackMan Data Tells the Story

The TrackMan numbers confirmed everything I was feeling. The gap between clubs is dialed—right around 13 yards from one club to the next. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident.

Summary

All in all, this is a really tight build, and I’m seriously impressed with how these irons are performing. Looking forward to getting them out on the course and seeing how they translate under real playing conditions.
